As a member of Global Welding Technologies, igm Robotersysteme AG can look back on 50 years of history as a leading company in the field of welding automation. Igm has had extensive experience in the use of complex, sensor-guided welding and cutting robot systems since the 1980s. In addition to economical overall solutions, robot systems developed for individual customer requirements are also offered. To date, igm has successfully installed more than 3,500 of these systems worldwide in all branches of mechanical engineering.
With subsidiaries and sales partners in more than 20 countries, igm is today the only manufacturer and supplier of automated welding and cutting technology worldwide, from the arc to the laser to the electron beam. As the only Austrian manufacturer of robots that are specially developed for arc welding, extensive customer knowledge is available for all applications. Systems for the truck industry, for excavator production, for railway construction, boiler production and for shipbuilding are exported across the globe and form the backbone of manufacturing facilities at many well-known manufacturers.
The product range offered extends from subsystems purely for automatic welding to complete systems consisting of several robot cells that form complete production lines. These systems are sold as finished turnkey solutions or integrated into existing systems.
